Kratak uvod – Short Recap
Platan broj 198 nalazi se na uglu Bulevara kralja Aleksandra (Bulevara Revolucije) i Ulice Vatroslava Jagića.
80-godišnje drvo koje je nekada činilo deo drvoreda o(p)stalo je na Bulevaru i nakon prvog talasa rekonstrukcije zahvaljujući odbrani i angažmanu svog Drvenog advokata :)
Akcija da se barem simbolički odbrani jedno drvo prerasla je u ozbiljan projekat da se ovo drvo zaista i sačuva. Podržite i Vi projekat za očuvanje platana broj 198! :)

Plane Tree No. 198 is located in the King Alexander Boulevard (Revolution Boulevard, as it was known before) in the centre of Belgrade, Serbia.
It was one of the plane trees in the avenue’s line, which were planted as part of war reparations from Germany after WWI. In february 2010, City government decided to reconstruct the Boulevard, which was long overdue already, and to cut down nearly 300 trees in the street – a move somewhat contorversial, and definitely not approved by the majority of city’s residents. Group protests failed, but Plane Tree No. 198 was fortunate to get it’s own “eco-lawyer”, who managed to save it from being cut down.
An action to try, at least simbolically, to preserve a single plane tree in the Boulevard has grown to become a serious project to actually preserve this tree. Support the project to save Plane Tree No. 198! :)
